We start by removing any loose or delaminated concrete. Most surfaces are pressure washed or scrubbed and mopped clean. If the surface is slick or has been previously sealed, the surface will be diamond grinded to open the pores of the concrete.
A minimum of three coats of Resiflex are applied in total. Two base coats are hand trowelled over the surface to create a resurfaced slab. The top coat is usually hand trowelled and quartz is added to the textured surface to display multiple colors. In some cases, our top coat is sprayed using a hopper gun especially for vertical and other surfaces that require extra texture.
For most exterior jobs we use a high-grade solvent based clear acrylic sealer. Most interior floors we apply a clear urethane sealer. The sealers are applied with a brush and roller. It takes one day to walk on and 3 days to put furniture back or drive on.
Most garages have a hard trowelled finish that must be diamond grinded off to expose the underlying concrete. The dust is removed and the surface is pressure washed clean. The surface must completely dry before the application of any coatings.
We start with a hand trowelled cement coating to fill any imperfections in the concrete. Two coats of epoxy are rolled and brushed on. The second coat of epoxy is saturated with color chips until rejection. The excess chips are then removed from the surface.
Two coats of clear polyaspartic urethane are applied using rollers and brushes. It takes one day to walk on and 3 days to drive on.
